The 10 Tools of Triumph™

Cancer presents far more than a physical challenge. My former wife, Cecilia, and I believe that the challenge is at least fifty percent psychological. Thus the mind/body/spirit connection can have a profound effect on the outcome of an illness, especially one that is described (at least at first) as “terminal.” As we explain in our book, Climb Back from Cancer, even among individuals of the same age, sex, diagnosis and prognosis, and who receive the same treatment at the same facility at the same time, some survive and some do not. Is that purely physical? We do not believe it is.
We have distilled our hundreds of lessons learned during our cancer experience into what we believe are the twenty essential psychological skills that enabled us to survive cancer and thrive beyond it. Although we cannot guarantee these tools will work for you, they did work for us. You may judge their utility, or inutility, for yourself.
